The Palm Beach County Commission delayed a decision on whether to reduce the county workforce by 921 jobs, and will hold a workshop on the proposal in June, the Palm Beach Post reported.

On Tuesday, the commission reviewed a report by accounting and consulting firm Gerstle Rosen & Golfenberg, P.A. that proposed cutting 89 jobs outright, eliminating 136 positions through efficiencies, and outsourcing 696 county jobs. As the Business Journal previously reported, this plan was estimated to save the county $29.4 million to help it close it gap in the fiscal year 2013 budget.
