Job Description The Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a Financial Service Manager. This position assumes the financial and budget management of the agency as well supervision of staff within the finance division. Mandatory knowledge and experience include: financial operating procedures, preferably within a Health & Human agency, double entry bookkeeping, accounting principles, budgeting, cost allocation methods and governmental accounting knowledge. This position reports regularly to the Health & Human services board on budgetary issues and also provides advice on legislation and relevant government financial information as needed. In addition this position makes analysis and recommendations on the agency budget for financial planning.? ? Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or similar field.? ? Requirements Minimum of four (4) years of governmental accounting, supervision, and budgeting. Governmental accounting knowledge and practice required. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.? ?
